Aalto University school of Arts, Design and Architecture

Established in 2010, the Aalto University is a new university with centuries of experience. The Aalto University was created from the merger of three Finnish universities: The Helsinki School of Economics, Helsinki University of Technology and The University of Art and Design Helsinki. Aalto University school of Arts, Design and Architecture is one of the most international universities in Finland. The links between teaching, research and artistic activities and other society, business and culture are active and very close.

Kanneltalo

Kanneltalo is the cultural center for West Helsinki located by Kannelmäki railway station. Kanneltalo is an active center that offers a wide range of interesting events for all local residents, from babies to retired people. The house is managed by the Helsinki City Cultural Office. Kanneltalo also houses the following organizations: Kannelmäki Public Library, West Finnish Adult Education Centre, Helsinki City Youth Department/Kannelmäki Youth Club, Cultural Café Voilà.

Designmuseo

Design Museum is a specialist museum in Finland that selects and maintains a versatile design collection, around 75 000 objects. The museum is responsible for research and documentation in its field, and for holding exhibitions on design history and contemporary themes. The museum also organizes international touring exhibitions and events on Finnish art and design.

Vanhustyön keskusliitto

The Central Union for the Welfare of the Aged was founded in 1949. The Union is a national umbrella organization for 350 associations working for the benefit of the aged. Our members include associations providing services and organizations offering versatile volunteer activities. The guiding principle of the Union is to promote the welfare and social security of the aged. Another important task is to support the activities of the member associations.

The art center promotes the art education of children and young people in Finland and its activities include art, art education and research. The center organizes exhibitions, education and training, and workshops. The emphasis is on visual arts. The Art Centre for Children and Young People collaborates with various expert bodies in the fields of youth work, art and culture.
