TANGO – the sustainable and accessible exhibition

The AH-Design project is finalized with three exhibitions named TANGO, one in each participating cities. The name suggests a communication, a kind of dance, between the designers and the citizens, where sharing stories of lives and thoughts are transformed to objects and systems, and again shared with and communicated to the participating stakeholders.

The scope is to see the exhibition as a lab and a window for the sustainable innovation. The educational processes executed in the exhibition enhance the intergenerational dialogue in the surrounding communities. This results the exhibition to be accessible to different audiences, for example the elderly, children and professionals.

During the exhibition workshops and other activities for audiences will be organized in collaboration with the students participating the project, lecturers and researchers from the participating universities, and the educational group of the project. The workshops will be tested in the autumn 2012, as part of World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 program.
